Past physical shows

and the history of crush/repeat

After learning about the legendary Fun-a-Day project started by the Artclash collective in Philadelphia, Sarah, Elizabeth and Dawn had a dream of building community around shared art practice in Seattle. Thus, Crush/Repeat began in 2014 as a one-night only show in a queer punk house basement in Beacon Hill. After a few years hiatus Makenna joined Sarah to pick it back up and bring it to a wider audience. With community help at every step, they have been organizing this project together ever since!

Prior to our 2020 show and the need to move to a virtual platform due to the pandemic, Crush/Repeat was always hosted in physical spaces to showcase participating artist’s work and performances in a central community space. Below you will find highlight galleries from each physical show. To see our virtual show, please see the 2020 Gallery.
